In order to evaluate which engine heater concept is most efficient, comprehensive tests were conducted on Euro 6 diesel engines.

• A contact heater is most efficient for preheating the engine block and oil.
• Contact heaters increase engine oil temperature approximately 30-35°C more than coolant heaters.
• Contact heaters increase engine block temperature approximately 20-25°C more than coolant heaters.
• Coolant heaters increase cylinder head temperature by approximately 30°C more than contact heaters.
• Energy Efficiency: A 300W contact heater typically uses 42% less energy compared to a 550W coolant heater.
• Cold Start: WarmUp systems allow you to start driving with 22°C in the cabin, whereas a standard cold start takes 18 minutes to reach 20°C.
